Hi everyone,

This is a new thing for me, writing a blog, but having decided to take a short break in my performing career, I thought it would be a lovely way to keep in touch with you all and to remind you from time to time that I'm still here!

Having had a more relaxing summer than usual I'm now feeling ready to start on my new project. My eldest daughter Ana Gwen has just started school full-time, which has given me back some time during the day. During the holidays I have been busy learning how to use a music recording and writing software called 'Logic'. This is opening up a new world of possibilities for me. At the moment I am concentrating on learning all the different capabilities, sounds and options of the software and putting down some initial musical ideas which I can then take and develop.

Of course I'm also still doing some practice every day and trying to stop my fingers going soft - although without a concert to practice for it's more difficult to motivate myself!

And I've been helping my husband Hywel plan and organise a very full autumn concert programme for 2011 for our studio concert hall Acapela. We have a whole range of artists this year and it would be great to see any of you there who can make it. Information on the full programme and online tickets is at www.acapela.co.uk
